Scientific sessions and workshops

All scientific sessions and workshops will be held at the Hotel Lielupe.

 

For oral presentations it is recommended that participants use computer based Microsoft PowerPoint software and files, linked to a multimedia projector for the oral presentations. Special need for other media (slide projectors or overhead projectors) must be arranged with organisers in advance. For a PC-based presentation we suggest that you submit a CD or a USB-based device with removable storage (flash disk) with your PowerPoint presentation at the registration desk or upload your PowerPoint files to the conference computer before the session begins. The preferred versions for the PowerPoint files are Microsoft Office PowerPoint 2000 and PowerPoint 2003. You will not be able to use your own laptop computer for presentations in the conference sessions. Please inform us in advance if you would like to use two slide projectors at once. Timing of oral presentations: 20 minutes (15 minutes talk + 5 minutes for questions and answers).

 

Poster presentations. Posters should be prepared so that they fit onto a panel or board with A0 dimensions as the maximum (90 cm x 120 cm). Please remember to use a font size that will be legible from approximately 1 m distance. Supplies to mount the posters will be provided on site. It will be possible to put up posters on 4^th June from 9:30.
