The meeting will take place at the Hotel Lielupe in Jūrmala which is located in a cosy township of Bulduri, just steps away from the beach of the Riga Gulf and 20 km from downtown Riga (http://www.lielupe.lv/eng/) (see a map; red circle # 1). To get to Jurmala you need to go to the Central Railway Station (Centrālā dzelzceļa stacija) and buy a ticket for the electric train from Riga to Bulduri, which costs 52 santims. Trains go fairly frequently during the day; the trip will take some 30 minutes.

 

Once you arrive from abroad by plane, the transfer from Riga International airport (http://www.riga-airport.com/) is about 20 minutes drive:

• by taxi, costing at present about 8 LVL during the day and 10 LVL at night (24.00-6.00). This transfer could should be arranged from the plane, otherwise you will probably need to wait some time near airport, especially during the night;
• by bus number 22 which stop in the right side in front of the Airport at the right hand side, and will take you to the centre of Riga in about 30 minutes; ticket costs 30 santims + 60 santims for large size luggage. Please, get off the bus at the second stop after crossing the Daugava River; your stop “Coca-Cola Plaza” (near the Central Market) is situated at the 13.janvāra Str. between the Central Bus Station and Central Railway Station.

If you are going to Riga by bus, you will arrive at the Riga Central Bus Station (Autoosta), which is situated not far from the Central Railway Station. On arrival by bus, please, go along the bus station building, turn to the left under the railway, which is placed above the street, turn to the right and follow along the cinemas of “Coca-Cola Plaza” to the railway station. If you arrive by train it will stop directly at the Riga Central Railway Station where you can buy a ticket to Jurmala.

 

Participants are warmly invited to send the organisers the details of their arrival, and we will try to meet you at the airport/railway station to bring to the Hotel Lielupe by hired cars or minibuses.
