Ceramics have for several millennia served mankind with useful materials. Today, ceramic science is a well established academic discipline and ceramic materials are used in a multitude of applications that utilize the unique combinations of functional, thermal, chemical and mechanical properties. Recently, challenges related to the development of new technologies with a significantly smaller environmental foot print and sustainable and environmentally benign manufacturing processes is rapidly changing materials science in general and ceramic research in particular. The ECerS XII in Stockholm intend to be a forum where academic researchers, students and industrialists can meet to present and discuss recent scientific advances and novel applications.

EUROCLAY 2011  Conference

June 26 - July 1, 2011, Antalya, Turkey

The Turkish National Committee on Clay Science has the pleasure of the organization of EUROCLAY 2011  Conference in ANTALYA during June 26-July 1, 2011 and promises a technically stimulating meeting along with the warmest Turkish hospitality. The EUROCLAY 2011 will take place at Dedeman Antalya & Convention Center, with a privileged location on Antalya's coast.

Deadline for abstract submission is extended to JANUARY 30, 2011. Deadline for early registration is extended to MARCH 7, 2011. The scientific program  of EUROCLAY 2011 will bring together, once again, specialists from different disciplines related to clays and clay minerals. It will consist of technical sessions of both oral and poster presentations highlighted by  keynote speakers. Workshop and field excursions  will be the parts of the scientific program. The social program will include visits to historical and natural sites, shopping for traditional items and sharing the richness and diversity of Turkish cuisine.
