UL Football League & Cup
UL Football League was established in 2007 year. It was created in order to involve UL students in healthy and friendly sport activities.
To make a bridge between the nations in 2009 a tradition to form the International students' team "ET" was created. Since then each foreigner who is going to study at least one semester at The University of Latvia, loves football and game spirit is welcome to join UL Football League!

Lasts for seven months - October, November, December, January, February, March, April and May.
Only Students (International as well), staff and administration of The University of Latvia.
The number of teams is limited - A League (8 teams) and B league (8 teams).
Each team must submit the application with a minimum of six players, and up to twelve players.
The League is organized according to the indoor football rules. Teams play 5 per side game, but 7 players for each team can be on substitution. The number of substitutions during the game is unlimited. Goal size 2 m x 3 m, game length 2 x 20 min, court size 40 m x 20 m. Technical victory is 5:0.
Working day evenings (Tuesdays, Thursdays). Each team usually plays two games per month. The time table is confirmed at the team representatives meeting.
From the September until the beginning of the football League there are there are two trainings a week, but during the league there is one training a week.
All football league games and trainings take place in the Olympic Center (Grostonas Street 6 b).
There is a symbolic participation fee in the UL Football League. To enter the League players have to apply for the University sport. That costs 17,22 EUR per semester and includes all UL sport activities also Football League, Football Cup, Mini Football (3X3) Cup and trainings. The University of Latvia covers most of expenses of court, referees, coaches and organization costs. Players take care of their uniform, proper footwear and drinking water.
