Female choir "Latve"

The female choir "LATVE" at the Faculty of Education and Psychology, University of Latvia has been founded in 1987. The art director is Ilze Feldmane, conductor Gundega Krūmiņa, vocal pedagogue Diāna Kregere.
"LATVE" actively participates in musical life of Latvia and Riga, various festivals of music, as well as Song Celebrations and Student Song festival "Gaudeamus". The choir has participated in the International youth choir festival in Kalundborg (Denmark)- and has been awarded the second prize (1992), in 3. International Robert Schumann Choir Competition Zwickau (Germany)- won the bronze diploma (1998), International choir competition in Tampere (Finland)- silver prize (1999), International choir competition in Riva del Garda (Italy)- obtained the silver diploma (2000), in 2003 in competition in Olomouc (Czech Republic) – silver medal. In 2005 „LATVE” participated in international choir festival in Budapest and in 2008 in Cultural Days of Latvia in Slovenia.
