Mixed choir "Jubilate"

This is already the second season, that the mixed choir of the Faculty of Theology, University of Latvia, founded in 1998, bears the name "Jubilate". For the duration of eight years the choir acted under the umbrella of the Lattelecom, a major Latvian telecommunications company. Since the season 2006/2007 the home of the choir is the University of Latvia.
Choir "Jubilate" performs in Latvia’s churches, events organized by the University of Latvia, participates in charity concerts. In 2008 the choir "Jubilate" successfully took part in "Choir Wars" of the Song celebrations.
The choir „Jubilate” (former Lattelecom) has performed in London, Denmark and Sweden, has visited the Embassy of Latvia in Moscow, several times performed in Turkey and Slovakia.
The art director and the principal conductor of the „Jubilate” is Juris Kļaviņš. In concerts and repetitions the principal conductor is supported by choir master Andris Mockus and soloist Gunta Cēse. There is a long-term, fruitful and creative collaboration with the choir master Ilze Dzērve.
