The library was created in 1964 when university founded the Faculty of Chemistry. Currently in the library’s open access collection 27 477 units of information resources are available. Collection includes resources in general chemistry, analytical chemistry, physical chemistry, inorganic chemistry, organic chemistry and other natural sciences and sciences.
In the library, everyone can access subscribed online e-resources, trial access e-resources and open access e-resources.
Library of Chemical Sciences holds a special collection of Samuel Knoh’s donation collection. Samuel Knoh is an internationally recognized specialist in chemistry and Latvian University’s Honorary Member.
The Library provides united customer service of the Library of the University of Latvia.
