Almost all databases subscribed by University of Latvia (UL) may be accessed using links below. LANET user name and password is required for remote access outside UL computer network. Databases may be accessed from any computer connected to internet by submitting your LANET username and password. No configuration is needed.

Databases limited to certain faculties are accessible to students and staff of particular institution. Those are recognized by login details. Some databases may be accessed onsite only.

Eastview Social Sciences & Humanities
Russia’s full-text journals in social sciences and humanities available in Russian and English.

Ebrary
Full text database with more than 50 000 e-books in various sciences.

EBSCO
Multidisciplinary database consisting of several databases.

Emerald
Full text multidisciplinary database containing information on economics, management, library science and information science.

Encyclopedia Britannica Online
Online encyclopedia with tens of thousands definitions, articles and illustrations.

HeinOnline
Database with more than 1000 full text law journals.

ISI Web of Knowledge
Academic citation indexing and search service ISI Web of Knowledge (provided by Thomson Reuters) encompasses databases Web of Science and Journal Citation Reports. Web of Science provides bibliographic and citation information in the sciences, social sciences, arts, and humanities. Journal Citation Reports provides information about academic journals in the sciences and social sciences, including impact factors.

Journal of Chemical Education
Online version of Journal of Chemical Education published by Division of Chemical Education of the American Chemical Society. 

JSTOR
JSTOR is multipurpose database of scientific journals.
The JSTOR journal collections Arts & Sciences I – VI are available at the Faculty of Social Sciences only (Lomonosova St. 1a).

Oxford Reference Online
Wealth of facts, figures, definitions, and translations from more than 200 Oxford reference titles. 

Passport GMID
Passport GMID (Global Market Information Database) is an online information system in international business and marketing, economics, international relations, tourism etc. from Euromonitor International.

Physical Review Online Archive (PROLA)
Database with journal archives in physics.
Available to students and staff of Faculty of Mathematics and Physics only.

ProQuest Dissertations & Theses
Multidisciplinary database of doctoral dissertations and master's theses with over 2,7 million theses and over 1,2 million full text PDF documents. 

RUBRICON
Universal database of full-text reference literature that includes search in over 80 major Russian encyclopedias, dictionaries, handbooks and links to Internet resources.

SAGE Journals Online
Full text database with articles from more than 400 journals including information on humanities, life sciences, medicine, exact sciences, social sciences etc.

ScienceDirect
ScienceDirect is a full-text scientific database from Elsevier. The full text journals are marked with green icon.

SpringerLink
Access to scientific full text journals in English and German including information on various sciences. 

UpToDate
Full text, evidence based database in medicine.

Westlaw International
Database includes law materials – journals, legislation in EU and foreign countries, laws, regulations and news.

Zentralblatt MATH (ZMATH)
Database with bibliographic information and abstracts in mathematics.
