A student has to apply for the registration certificate in person (by presenting valid travel document) in the Office of Citizenship and Migration Affairs in Riga within 90 days, counting from the first day of entry. Registration certificate shall be issued without delay after submission of all documents specified and it shall be issued free of charge.
Student has to submit the following documents:
- registration certificate application form;
- copy of travel document;
- 1 photo;
- copy of the study agreement issued by the University of Latvia;
- copy of a valid health insurance - Eurpean Health Insurance Card (EHIC) (an original must be presented).
