Short Program description

The doctoral study program Education management has been developed with the aim for the doctoral student to acquire knowledge and skills that would give him/her the possibility to work out the research independently and complete it with obtaining scientifically original results that had been proved in practice in the field of education management thus confirming one’s competence in performing, organizing and managing the research.

The doctoral scientific degree is awarded for the doctoral thesis – original, independently carried out scientific work which can be assessed as a significant contribution to the development of the education management and the improvement of the education system in Latvia.

The doctoral thesis may have the following 3 forms: dissertation, the set of thematically unified scientific publications, monograph. The language of the doctoral thesis is Latvian or English

Admission requirements

Masters degree in education management, pedagogy or management.
