The course is an introduction to conversation and orthography in the Chinese language. Course participants will learn the tones of the target language and its sound pronunciation, which is based on the phonetic system „pinyin” used in the People’s Republic of China and world-wide. They will also learn basic grammar and vocabulary necessary for daily communication. In parallel with conversation, course participants are introduced to hieroglyphics, which would allow them to recognize key words in written form.
