Structure of quality management system in the UL
External quality requirements as well as strategic goals of the UL define the structure of the quality management system in the UL, and it consists of three basic levels.
The first level is Quality Manual of the UL, which includes a description of the UL organizational structure, an overview of the quality management system in the UL, information on the coverage of quality management system, core principles of Quality assurance policy and quality management model, as well as description of the process management system.
The second level of the UL Quality management system is formed by processes, which are necessary for the implementation of the system. These processes are detailed described in the internal UL regulations, as well as in the UL Process management model LU QuPeRs.
The third level contains supporting documents, for example, decisions, protocols, instructions, data reports located in different databases (incl. LUIS – Information System of the University of Latvia)
The appropriate functioning of the UL Quality management systems ensures sustainable customer-oriented results. To ensure system’s compliance, internal audits are managed in the UL.
