The goal of the Personnel Department is to develop the University of Latvia’s human resource strategy, policies, and procedures in accordance with the University of Latvia’s mission, strategy, and goals to ensure the University with highly qualified employees. The main functions of the Personnel Department are the development and implementation of the University of Latvia’s human resource management principles; human resources planning and selection; employee development and the establishment and management of the University’s compensation system; job catalogue development and improvement, job description formulation and modification; preparing and ensuring employment documentation; employment policies and procedure monitoring; human resource statistics and measurement.
