"The University has a unified administration with decentralised division between decision-making and responsibilities stipulated by the Constitution of the University of Latvia, the decisions of the UL Senate, orders of Rector of the University, and decisions of the UL Leadership. The main decision-making authorities of the University are the Constitutional Assembly, Senate, and the University Leadership, which is comprised of Rector, Prorectors, Chancellor, Administrative Director, and other directors appointed by Rector. Anyone of the staff can institute the decisionmaking process. The main advisors of the UL Leadership are the Council of Deans, the Council of Studies, and the Council of Science, as well as the administration of the UL."
