The Department of Geography is composed of three chairs:

The Department of Geography comprises also 5 laboratories (Laboratory of Regional Planning, Laboratory of Biogeography, Laboratory of Geospatial Analysis and Planning, Laboratory of GIS and Laboratory of Remote Sensing and Cartography), meteorological station „Rīga-Universitāte”, Library of Maps and Centre of Geography Didactics.
