Main directions of the research work:

• risk evaluation modelling in the decision making processes;

• modelling and forecasting economic and management processes: research is done in co-operation with the specialists from Erasmus University (Roterdam) as a part of ACE projects, as well as other government institutions, commercial banks, and other Latvian universities as a part of Latvian Academy of Sciences financed projects. analysis of the structural changes of Latvian national economy;

• elaboration of methods and models for forecasting of social-economical processes;

• the use of marketing research methods; environmental economics; evaluation of efficiency of economic instruments for environmental protection;

• elaboration of business games and its use in decision making processes.
